CCRCC Family Movie Night RecapOn Monday, November 24, the Champaign County RC Club hosted a special Family Movie Night at The Open Room in Mahomet. Families gathered to enjoy Disney’s Planes on the big screen, a perfect way to combine aviation excitement with holiday fun during Thanksgiving break. Doors opened at 5:30 p.m., and the movie began at 6:00 p.m., with free popcorn and water adding to the festive atmosphere.The evening drew a wonderful crowd of 42 people representing 14 families, making it a lively and memorable occasion. Before the film, Kaleb Spencer shared news about an upcoming CCRCC Build Day, a hands-on workshop where kids, teens, and adults will have the chance to build and fly their own RC airplane. The project will feature the FliteTest Nutball, an easy-to-build design suited for both indoor and outdoor adventures.Family Movie Night was a great success, highlighting CCRCC’s commitment to bringing members together and inspiring the next generation of aviation enthusiasts.
